KUBO is launching a striking innovation during GreenTech: PYLOT. That is the name under which the greenhouse builder from Monster is launching its own horticulture data platform. PYLOT combines, analyses and, most importantly, provides insight in the increasing flow of data in greenhouses. The software platform reads data from all major climate computer brands as well as from other data sources.
Greenhouses and cultivation processes are producing increasing amounts of data. These data are not always very clear. In most cases, furthermore, the relationship between data from a diverse range of sources is missing, which makes the cultivation process complex. These days the largest proportion of the greenhouse construction company’s turnover is obtained abroad with projects including in the Russian states, Canada, the United States, China and Australia. Many investors are currently moving into horticulture, a sector that will need to feed billions of mouths in the coming decades. This makes the demand for supporting and complete information with respect to greenhouse performance increasingly relevant.
Practical and useful information
With PYLOT, KUBO is launching a data platform that combines all greenhouse data, such as heat, light, feed and energy. This provides users with a wealth of practical and useful information on themes including productivity, crop growth and performance, and climate. These data can be supplemented manually, for instance with plant cycle and harvest plan data. Crop photos can also be added. All information is collected in the cloud. To develop PYLOT, KUBO worked closely with young, innovative specialists as well as its own customers, who provide continuous feedback about the system’s operation. PYLOT helps growers or entrepreneurs make greenhouse processes easier.
