Haoyu Group grows with Ultra-Clima® greenhouses

The Challenge

Haoyu Group is a professional grower with a clear ambition: to produce high-quality cherry tomatoes in a region where summer conditions are difficult for greenhouse cultivation. High temperatures and high humidity make climate control a major challenge. Without the right technology, these conditions can affect crop quality, production stability and yield.

The customer also wanted to improve the energy efficiency of the full installation and maximise production. That required more than a standard greenhouse. Haoyu needed a high-tech solution that could manage the local climate more precisely, support year-round production and create a stronger return on greenhouse

The Solution

KUBO supplied Ultra-Clima® greenhouses with active cooling. This solution is designed to give growers more control over temperature, humidity and air movement, even in demanding climate conditions. For Haoyu Group, this makes it possible to grow cherry tomatoes during the summer months in this location.

The project combines integrated design, climate technology, project management and operational support. KUBO started with a pre-feasibility study and ROI calculation, including energy consumption. This gave the customer a clear view of the business case before the project moved forward.

KUBO also provided the integrated project design and supplied the screening system, heating and cooling system, electrical system and irrigation system. PDI and KSG were also involved in the project. KSG supports the operational stage, helping the customer manage production and get more value from the greenhouse installation.

The result is a complete high-tech greenhouse concept: reliable technology, professional project delivery and local service support.

The Results

KUBO has already delivered two Haoyu projects: phase 1 of 7.8 ha in 2021 and phase 2 of 6.8 ha in 2024, together covering 14.6 ha. From 2025 to 2027, KUBO is delivering phase 3, consisting of five projects with a total area of 28.9 ha.

In total, KUBO will supply 43.5 ha of Ultra-Clima® greenhouses with active cooling for Haoyu Group. Across two locations, the programme includes 9 projects.

The performance results underline the value of the chosen approach. In phase 2, Haoyu achieved more than 30 kg/m² in cherry tomato production, which is considered a top-level yield in China.

The project also shows how high-tech greenhouse production can support better food quality in the local market. Haoyu’s high-quality and tasty cherry tomatoes contribute to a stronger supply of fresh produce in China.
