The Challenge

The Solution

Schenkeveld conducted a rigorous evaluation of greenhouse construction partners, prioritizing expertise in large-scale, sustainable horticulture projects. KUBO was selected for its proven track record in delivering turnkey Venlo greenhouses that combine engineering excellence with sustainability. The collaborative approach allowed for seamless integration of advanced systems, enabling precise climate control, resource optimization, and robust food safety protocols. Each greenhouse, approximately 11 hectares in size, was designed for efficient workflow, scalability, and compliance with the most stringent industry regulations. The Results

The partnership between Schenkeveld and KUBO resulted in the successful commissioning of three new Venlo greenhouses, each covering 11 hectares, by early 2022. A fourth greenhouse of equivalent scale was initiated, further boosting operational capacity. The integrated facility now enables Schenkeveld to process up to 300,000 kg of tomatoes daily, while advanced greenhouse technology ensures optimal climate control, energy efficiency, and reduced environmental footprint. The project has established a scalable blueprint for high-volume, sustainable horticultural production, positioning Schenkeveld as an industry leader in the region.
