Hortiflow successfully demonstrated at Gebr. Valstar

Commercial nursery Gebr. Valstar and SDF Horti Software are collaborating on the implementation of Hortiflow in the new greenhouse in Bleiswijk. This is a challenging project with an innovative logistics concept and the added complexity of the WPS buffer system, which requires flexible data exchange.

Working smarter with Hortiflow and Hortiload

Hortiflow automates the entire logistics process, from order receipt to transport. Growers gain immediate insight into order status and planning. Gebr. Valstar also opted for Hortiload for the automatic allocation of trolleys. In addition, the packing stations will be equipped with screens, eliminating the need for physical packing slips.

Successful demo with customers from the sector

The first two Hortiflow sessions at Gebr. Valstar were successful. Several customers attended both meetings and gained a clear picture of the system's capabilities. The interest and discussions provided valuable insights. A third session will follow shortly, in which we will once again demonstrate how Hortiflow and Hortiload strengthen the logistics process. Growers who would like to attend can register via the sales manager or their own contact person.

The group started in the greenhouse, where Hortiflow was demonstrated in practice. This was followed by a session in the meeting room, where the functionalities were explained on a large screen. We would like to express our special thanks to Raimond Hagedoorn of Gebr. Valstar, who, together with SDF, gave a clear and enthusiastic explanation.

Valuable insights for growers

The meeting generated fruitful discussions about efficiency, digital order processing, and the advantages of an integrated logistics process. For many growers, this is the first step toward a fully automated flow in the greenhouse and packaging area.
