Strategic partnership to establish high-tech greenhouse zone in Saudi Arabia

Amtar Al Khair Agricultural Crops Company has signed a major cooperation agreement with KUBO Greenhouse Projects to establish and operate a state-of-the-art greenhouse zone in the Jazan region.
This integrated fruit and vegetable production project marks a new step in strengthening Saudi Arabia’s food security and sustainable agricultural development.
A LANDMARK PROJECT IN CONTROLLED-ENVIRONMENT AGRICULTURE
Spanning over one million square meters, the project will introduce the latest Dutch greenhouse technologies and integrated farming systems to the southern region of the Kingdom.
By focusing on efficient resource use and year-round production, the initiative will help meet local demand for high-quality fruits and vegetables while raising overall productivity standards.
KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER & LOCAL EMPOWERMENT
Through this collaboration, the partners aim to transfer global horticultural expertise to the Jazan region, create new local jobs, and build regional competencies in advanced controlled-environment agriculture.

This initiative aligns closely with Saudi Vision 2030, supporting the nation’s ambition to enhance agricultural investment, strengthen food security, and promote sustainable development.
The project is enabled by the support of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and the Agricultural Development Fund.
