First Canadian greenhouse project for Millennium Pacific Greenhouse

The challenge

Millennium wants to strengthen the food supply in British Columbia with fresh tomatoes and bell peppers grown close to the market. The challenge is to maintain consistent quality and production through changing seasons, including the darker winter months.

The new project also needs to use water and energy responsibly while fitting into Delta’s strong agricultural infrastructure. With Vancouver nearby, the location offers direct access to a major urban market, but it calls for a highly coordinated design and delivery process.

After working together successfully in California, Millennium selected KUBO again to translate its vision for modern horticulture into a reliable, scalable greenhouse operation.

The solution

KUBO is realizing a nearly 10-hectare conventional greenhouse for tomatoes and bell peppers. The tomato crop will be grown under lighting, supporting continuous production during winter and helping Millennium deliver consistent quality throughout the year.

The project features modern climate-control systems and technologies for efficient energy and water management. KUBO contributes across the complete process, from planning and engineering through delivery and project guidance.

The Results

Once operational, the greenhouse is expected to yield thousands of tons of tomatoes and bell peppers annually. This will strengthen the regional food supply by making fresh produce available year-round.

Efficient water and energy use helps reduce environmental impact, while the project creates additional local employment opportunities across cultivation, technical operations, and logistics.
